Strong Heart (Hangul: 강심장; Hanja: 强心臟) is a Korean talk show or talk battle broadcasted by SBS. Strong Heart airs from Tuesday, 11:50 pm to Wednesday, 12:30 am. About twenty star guests from Korea tell strong stories that make people cry or laugh. The best storyteller wins the show. Lee Seung Gi hosts the show. The producers are Park Sang Hyuk, Park Kyung Duck, Jung Eek Sung. Also, the writers are Kim Youn Young and Kim Jee Youn. Super Junior's Leeteuk, Shindong and Eunhyuk come every episode for the Teuk Academy Teukigayo. Comedians Jung Ju Ri and Kim Young Chul appear frequently on the show. Kang Ho Dong was the other MC, but left after retiring from show business.
Strong Heart gives viewers and fans a chance to look into the lives of stars by listening to their stories. Many stars come on the show and share stories about their hardships in debuting, strange experiences and some other funny situations that have occurred in their life. Celebrities have also used their time on the show to try to clear up rumors. From time to time there are also less famous stars invited so that they can have a chance to share their story. This is important as most of the time when these stories are told on Strong Heart, it is the first time they have ever been told.
In each Strong Heart episode, there is a special segment dedicated to the fun antics of Boom Academy. Boom Academy’s director is renown entertainer Boom and the students are Super Junior members. The most notable role of Boom Academy in the show is how the member’s unforgettable pictures of the past were displayed.
After Boom joined the army and stopped coming to the show, Leeteuk (leader of Super Junior) took his place. It's name was temporarily changed to Teuk Academy. This academy is described to be an artistic ability academy. Teuk academy is the second generation academy of Boom Academy, and it consists of Super Junior members Leeteuk, Shindong, and Eunhyuk. Boom has however suggested that his third generation academy be upcoming boy band Infinite. He is impressed with maknae member Sung Jong's hilarious performances.
Brian Academy’s director is Brian Joo, an American born idol. Brian Academy is the rival of Boom Academy. Brian's claim's his academy isn't cheap like Boom Academy. His students strive to be funny but still sexy. The most notable student of Brian Academy is Jo Kwon of 2AM.
